Oversee the basketball program and that its efforts establish important catholic values as a sports ministry

Develop program initiatives for the program

Collaboratively work with other ministries within the parish

Build positive and credible relationships with representatives from the Oakland Diocese, other Parishes and the general population within and around the Christ the King community

Selects and supervises other administrators.

Member of League board of directors.

In charge of interactions with the Diocese and League.

In charge of insurance renewal, program coach meeting, referee contract, and coach certification compliance.

Work in conjunction with CTK CYO treasurer on all financial matters

Oversee all communication (social media, website, etc)

Helps in the selection process and recruitment of coaches and supervises the coaches in their division.

Conducts tryouts. (conducts is big word...maybe more like attends all evaluations session for their division)

Communicates with grade coordinators

Resolves issues that elevate past the grade coordinator level

collaborates with the other division AAD and AD to ensure a cohesive vision for the program exists across both boys and girls programs

Assists with all fundraisers (camps, tournaments, crab feed etc)

Additional duties assigned by the AD

Manage bank account and key elements of the program: check distribution, budgeting, expense management, general accounting

Collaborate closely with the Parish on all appropriate financial matters

Work closely with the AD and other members of the Board on appropriate matters for the program

Provide timely financial reports as requested by the Board.

Shares the opinions/perspective from the coach’s in the program

First buffer for issues between Coaches and Parents.

Works with team parent and coaches to answer simple questions from coaches

Check in 2- 4 times a month with all coaches

Help during the Evaluation process for their grade and with selecting teams

Works with Asst AD on any discipline issues

Work with team parent and coach to ensure all volunteers positions are filled

Work with Leadership team on tournaments and any practice/game

Work with Knights on crab feed and free throw competition

Work with treasurer to collect fees for any families that do not volunteer

Work with league officials to schedule officials for CTK run tournaments

Coordinate with Treasurer to get appropriate regular season official fees to each head coach

Develop annual fundraising goals with leadership team

Implement all fundraising activation and campaigns

Work with parish office and CTK treasurer on financials

Take and keep track of equipment inventory

Organize pre-season purchase of equipment needed

Organize equipment drop off event to give equipment bags to head coaches

Organize equipment collection event at the end of the season

Supervises coach and player registration.

Verify eligibility based on CTK student, actively participating in the RE program at CTK or live within the CTK or St. Stephens parish boundaries as defined by the Diocese of Oakland

Facilitates tryouts, including assigning tryout numbers, printing tryout lists, supervising team drafts, inputting and circulating player rosters.

Works with AD on maintenance and cleaning schedule

Coordinates Practice/Game Gym Schedule

Coordinates outside gym rental

Maintains practice gym website on Sign-up Genius;  distributes practice slots to coaches, which includes assigning weekly gym times, coordinating single-slot sign-ups

Recruits, assigns, and supervises youth game scorers and gym attendants; schedules and acts as liaison with youth and adult referees.
